A share of £500,000 is now available to help communities tackle serious violence. They are using money recovered from criminals and investing it into local organisations who know their communities best. 🚸 1. Youth & Early Intervention Groups Local youth clubs (e.g., in Manningham, Holmewood, Buttershaw) Why they fit: Early support prevents exploitation, improves safety, and strengthens communities long term.
🛡️ 2. Community Safety & Prevention Projects Residents’ groups wanting CCTV, lighting, or environmental improvements Why they fit: These groups directly reduce harm and empower communities to take ownership of local safety.
🤝 3. Grassroots Community Centres Foodbanks and warm spaces Why they fit: They already know their communities and can scale quickly with extra resource.
🧑⚕️ 4. Support Services for Vulnerable Adults Homeless residents Why they fit: Funds could expand outreach, counselling, or crisis support.
🌱 5. Community Environmental & Regeneration Projects Friends of parks groups Why they fit: Environmental improvements strengthen wellbeing and reduce crime-related harm.
⚽ 6. Local Sports Clubs & Hubs Boxing gyms Why they fit: Sport is a proven driver of community cohesion and youth diversion. | ||
